The sync app is logging each player's familiar it encounters as a unique NPC. As such, there are a bunch of "new" NPCs in PoK and the Guild Lobby. Perhaps sync needs to be trained to ignore NPCs like "Bob's familiar".

Are 'pet', and 'warder' tags being ignored or added?

Good point. It looks like those are being added as well.

Some examples:

Hmmmm, do your examples have their 'original' name or have they been renamed?

At first glance, they would appear not to be renamed as they all bear the name of the associated player, at least in Magelo. However, I haven't been able to replicate the problem by targeting or inspecting mercenaries, familiars, or pets.

Still, I see new companions daily at https://eq.magelo.com/npcs.jspa which do not have an associated NPC.

I finally spotted one of these in the wild today: [ Not found ]. It was hanging out by the zone line for Blightfire Moors in Crescent Reach on the Vox server. As the entry says, it was an sokokar with a saddle. The coloration was emerald. There was no player named Sharpjaws present at the time. I wonder if the player went linkdead and the familiar was left behind. Still, it seems odd that Magelo Sync would treat it as a new NPC.
