I am getting a No JVM could be found on my home system.
I am thinking this error is due to the java update that I installed yesterday on my computer.

Hi Tempted,
Could you please check that you have Java 32-bit and Java 64-bit installed on your computer?
Then, try again and let me know how it goes. Thanks

Downloaded 32 bit java and it started working again.
Is this just a temporary fix though; if java updates itseslf again....will I have to redo the process of downloading 32 bit java again?

No need to do anything. Java will automatically update both versions.
