Hi,

I am not sure what happened, but now when I attempt to launch EQ from Magelo Sync it displays a red cross symbol and "Unable to Launch EverQuest" error message. So I start the game by itself and then Sync will update as I play. Anything I can look at or do to be able to launch game from Sync again?

Thanks!

Hi zjsmetana,

I would suggest to delete sync.properties file from your Magelo Sync installation folder. Then once you start Magelo Sync again, everything should be back in order.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Jelan,

Unfortunately that didn't seem to fix the issue. Is there another thing I can try? It's odd, since on my two box pc, sync is launching EQ just fine. /shrug.

That's weird... Can you try to open the sync.properties file and see if you have a line that begin with 'games.EQ.path='. If so, is the path actually correct ?

Hi, the path appears to be correct, although I see "C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe" as the actual path and what the sync.properties file is revealing is

games.EQ.path=C\:\\Users\\Public\\Sony Online Entertainment\\Installed Games\\EverQuest\\

I've looked into my two box and it displays the same address path, I wasn't sure if the reverse slashes were correct or not, but they are. I can't see any difference between the two sync properties files. So I'm not sure how to get Sync to point to EverQest.exe again to trigger the launch.

I have the same issue & have done everything mentioned here in this post & it still will not lauch EQ. I have to start Magelo, then launch EQ manually. I have also made sure that I am running the latest Java 7 version. This is my info from my properties file & I was also questioning the double \\ in the EQ file path.

Hi mcanelly,

May i ask you to post your Magelo Sync log as well ? There is now more info regarding launching games there that should pinpoint us the issue.

Thanks !

Thank you mcanelly,
The log indicates in fact an issue in the game executable path containing spaces. We are looking into it and we will get back to you.
