I tried installing Sync to a new computer today. I had to install Java on the system to run Sync. It all seemed to go well, and it recognized the characters upon login. However, it abruptly stopped doing so after the fifth or sixth switch. I logged out and restarted the program, but now it won't recognize the characters at all. It does, however, recognize the zone that I'm in and the target I have selected. So, I looked back to see if my characters' inventories had truly updated. Curiously, the answer to that question is yes and no. The profile has updated, but the My Inventory tool has not. Very odd. Unless there's normally a delay for the latter. Your help would be appreciated.

It seems to be functioning fine now, for both identifying my character and My Inventory. I'm not sure what changed.

Bah. Now it's doing it again. It might be that the issue is related to boxing, although I can't recall if I was boxing the first time or not.

Today, the first time I switched characters, it failed to recognize the new one. This was with a single account open. It still shows the first character I logged in with, even though a different one is now logged in.

I've noticed it can have problems when running multiple accounts, as only 1 displays and the others go to the second tab over. Also make sure you're not running any 3rd party programs (MQ, etc) as I would guess the memory lock on the game could have an affect on Magelo. I don't know how either are built, but I'd imagine they both read off of the same area of EQ memory.

I haven't stress-tested it lately. I've logged on, but only one character. I'll keep watching it to see if I can recognize a pattern for when it occurs.

Hi Oxgoad,

Please post your Magelo Sync log, it should shed some light on your issue. You can get your log by pressing Ctrl+Shift+L on Magelo Sync.

Thanks for checking in! I've been over in Landmark land lately, so I haven't had a chance to see if it's still malfunctioning or not. I'll take a look soon.

Since returning from my hiatus, it seems to be working.
