Since the last Magelo update/EQ update last week I have been unable to run updater and not get the message that EQ has recently been updated etc.

Prior to that I was able to do a clean install of the updater by folloing the stepts to completely delete any cached/saved files. This method is no longer working for me. When running console right before I get into the updater I seem to get a CRC error and then the EQ has been patched message.

Also if I try to run Magelo update from the desktop rather than the web I get this error now even after a clean install

I'm having a similar problem with 4.0.5 right now. Even after removal and new install (it downloaded as I ran it the first time, again). The problem with eqgame.exe recently being patched, blah blah.

This revolving issue needs fixed. Whether you program in something other than Java ~ hell GWBasic would be better than this.

Secondly.. it says my character is updated via the date on the bottom, yet besides level nothing has been updated. Inventory/AA/armor etc are all still old profile. I don't even have a current premium subscription, so it should not have updated at all to the web site, saying it was last updated when it really has not.

It is not an installation problem or your computer problem. Everytime EQ get patched (even the so called Hotfixes SOE does) you will not be able to use the updater until they patch Magelo. They will be getting the patch programmed and released soon.

The problem lately is that SOE has patched EQ 4 times in the last 2 weeks.

Magelo Update has been patch (v 4.0.6) and as such, you should be able to sync your characters just fine.
