Magelo Update everquest module has been patched to V 1.0.8 to work with the latest Everquest patch. As always, just run Magelo Update to get it automatically.

I am afraid that melee skill caps are in error:
Couple examples for level 65 ranger:
1 Hand Slash: 315. Should be 295
Archery: 305. Should be 315 (and skill is 315.. so that looks a bit strange in displaying edit_skill_lang.jspa).
Is it possible that skill caps changed twice this week? Once in Sept 5th patch and again in Sept 6th patch?
I am guessing that caps do not affect premium profiles.. Magelo detects the actual skill and that is that. But non-premium profiles would suffer.

Why do I have to uninstall Magelo Update in order to get the 4.0.8?? I tried both pc's from the website, in addition to originally clicking the desktop icon...and always got 4.0.7. Hopefully, this uninstalling willl load the new patched one.
Nope...uninstalling and reinstalling from the website still got 4.0.7, so your link must be pointing at the prior version. Could you correct it, please?
Also, you refer to it as 1.0.8...is that a typo or are you going from 4.0.7 back to 1?

You always get 4.0.7 because this is the latest Magelo Update version
With the new Magelo Update (v4.x.x), there are now game plug ins (called game modules) for Magelo Update to handle games (EQ,WOW,VG,EQ2 etc... you get the idea). This new architecture allows us to handle multiple games within Magelo Update and moreover, to patch one game only at a time without to download the whole thing. Basically we have sliced the old monolithic Magelo Update in small pieces which give us more control and power.
So for example, usually, for an Everquest patch, we only need to update the Everquest module. When you mouse over on a game module icon, you will see its version ( The game icones which appear at the bottom left of Magelo Updates once a game is detected).
I hope it's clearer now.

Neat, cool to hear that Jelan - had a hunch you guys were getting close to doing other games as well, guessing this is a sign that ya'll are at least getting the backbone ready for it.
(Not that other games matter for me ATM - but playing something else eventually is inevitable and you guys have always done a damn good job at profiles)

In the last patch melee skills were raised from 315 to 325. Except for archery which is now 345.

Nope. Not working. See above for incorrect caps on level 65 ranger. Still the same today as it was a couple days ago when first reported.

The issue with our skill cap updater has been fixed internally and it will be live very soon, probably early next week. Thanks for your feedback and patience in this matter.
