Game Update: All EverQuest Live Servers (except Al'Kabor) will be brought down around 1:00 am PST (PST is -8 GMT: 2:00am MDT, 3:00am CST, 4:00am EST, 9:00am GMT) on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 for a Game Update. The servers are estimated to open back up around 8:00am (PST is -8 GMT: 9:00am MDT, 10:00am CST, 11:00am EST, 4:00pm GMT).

Server Merge: The Druzzil Ro (Xev) and The Combine (Progression) servers will be brought down around 3:00 am PST (PST is -8 GMT: 4:00am MDT, 5:00am CST, 6:00am EST, 11:00am GMT) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 for scheduled server merge. The Druzzil Ro (Xev, The Combine) server is expected to open back up around 8:00am (PST is -8 GMT: 9:00am MDT, 10:00am CST, 11:00am EST, 4:00pm GMT).

Server News: On January 21, 2009, EQ will be consolidating "The Combine" server and "Druzzil Ro (Xev)" server into one server to be titled "Druzzil Ro (Xev, Combine)." The merge will begin at 3 a.m. PST and will last approximately five hours.

In addition, in conjunction with the upcoming EQ 10th Anniversary celebration, SOE is expecting to add a new EQ server in March 2009 and players will be able to vote on a new server type. To provide your input on the type of server you'd like, you can visit EQplayers.com later in January to vote in a poll.

We hope that these changes will provide players with an even more enjoyable EQ experience.

We have decided to postpone the server merge between Druzzil Ro (Xev) and The Combine server that was planned for Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

While preparing for the merge, we came across an issue that we needed to address further before the merge takes place. Once we evaluate the situation, we will set a new date for the merge.
