I suspect that IE is the culprit here, let's try to bypass it by starting the application directly:
  • With VIsta, click on "Start" and in the start search area, paste the following:
javaws http://eq.magelo.com/mu/magelo-update.jnlp
  • WIth XP, click start -> Run and past the above line
  • Validate with enter key, Java Webstart should launch Magelo Update

And if you want to do yourself a favor, try Firefox 2

To clear Java cache

1. Open Control Panel
2. Open Java from Control Panel
3. Click Settings (pops up a window titled 'Temporary File Settings'
4. Click Delete Files button (on 'Temporary File Settings' pop-up window)
5. Start Magelo update from the website

I see "Registered User" under your username so i assume your premium subscription has expired.

Starting it directly worked for me when nothing else would, thank you very much.

If Magelo Update fails to start from the web site with IE then you'll probably have more luck with Firefox.

Glad that people's errors seem to be resolvable.

> Added drop rate and quantity in the item details page for looted items

This is nice! Someone was asking me last night "where is the best place to go and farm xxx" and this new feature made it soooo easy to give an answer.

Baah... I got a system error when submitting my post and assumed (incorrectly) that I would have to try again. I was wrong. Double-post.

I still do not see my characters when I try and use magelo update. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling java for the latest. Then tried the direct connection from the run menu. Then I even tried to download FireFox 2 and it still won't work. Any other suggestions?

EDIT: NM I figured it out thanks all!

Hmm, I've checked as much as I possibly could find on the site with no luck - I'm pretty sure that my premium membership has NOT yet expired (I've certainly not received any emails to that effect) yet, whenever I try to snych or do anything else, I'm told that I need to have premium status - what gives?

It shows you as a registered user, not a premium user. Do you remember or can you check when you acquired your Premium service?

Alternatively, could it be that you are logged into the wrong Magelo account? It has happened before that people with multiple Magelo accounts had logged into the wrong one.
